Patient Relations Assistant/UKHC

Job description

The Department of Internal Medicine- Cardiology is currently seeking a Patient Relations Assistant to work in the outpatient clinic.

Duties include, but are not limited to providing physician support along with efficient patient care through taking phone calls in phone room.

Additional duties include providing basic registration, scheduling, medical records preparation and reconciliation of fee sheets, collection of cash at the time of service.

This position may involve travel to Cardiology outreach clinics.

Physical Requirements

Standing, sitting for long periods of time, on occasion, may lift objects up to 50 lbs


Mostly days, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Other days and hours as needed


Customer service experience and/or call center experience and/or medical office experience and/or clerical experience.
Knowledge of insurance types, AEHR, scheduling, RevRunner, other insurance verification sites, cash handling, strong customer service, AIDET.
