Minimum Education/Experience: Candidates are required to have a terminal degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science from a regionally accredited institution and a demonstrated potential for developing a research program at ECU; however, ABD with significant qualifications may be considered for initial employment. ABD candidates will be initially appointed at the probationary rank of Assistant Professor and must have the terminal degree conferred prior to his/her first reappointment. Rank will be commensurate with education and experience.

Job Duties: The Department of Computer Science at East Carolina University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level, to begin August 2019. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Science and Software Engineering, mentor diverse students, develop collaborative research, establish an externally funded research program, and publish scholarly work.
