Job Summary: Oklahoma State University School of Architecture is accepting applications to fill one tenure- track faculty position at the assistant professor level. The successful candidate will teach a design studio every semester and offer courses in a design-related architectural specialty. The candidate is expected to develop a creative and scholarly agenda related to their area of focus. Preference will be given to candidates who have a terminal degree in Architecture (or a closely related field) with an architect's license or a Ph.D. (or equivalent), and meaningful practice experience.
The School of Architecture is part of the College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology. The School fosters a collegial atmosphere and values collaborative instruction, scholarship, and creative activities. The School's combination of accredited undergraduate programs in architecture and architectural engineering facilitate unique multi-disciplinary opportunities.
The School of Architecture has a 110-year history of educating professional architects and architectural engineers, combining a strong design curriculum with an emphasis in systems and technology. The curriculum embraces a wide range of design methods, including digital technologies, drawing and sketching, model-making, and other forms of exploration and presentation. The School's state-of-the-art facilities offer faculty and students many opportunities for growth and success.
