Position Summary:

The incumbent drives technology strategy by developing and maintaining a multi-year architecture strategy for the UC Irvine Health organization, translating organization and information technology strategy into target architecture, roadmap, architecture standards and guidelines and governing adherence to standards. Interacts with Physicians and clinical leadership to define and architect solutions within the IS Architecture Framework. Provides deep and extensive knowledge of Electronic Medical Record software deployed in an academic healthcare institution.

Salary Range:

Rate Minimum $92,600.00 Maximum $232,200.00

Required Qualifications:

5+ years' management experience working with IT enterprise architecture.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and to analyze and interpret data in order to draw valid conclusions for complex business issues

Ability to effectively plan for and optimally manage resources

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Ability to manage and engage other professionals

Ability to plan strategically, develop objectives and implement tactical plans to achieve desired outcomes

Ability to simultaneously manage multiple large projects

Able to translate complex information to a novice level and able to understand the needs of the university and translate that into solutions

Advanced level knowledge of healthcare financial systems applications to be able to successfully plan and coordinate activities in this area of systems analysis and serve as a key resource to staff and others across the organization

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience and training

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of medical and academic industry structures

Master's Degree
