Stanford Alumni Association (SAA) is looking for a Director of Community Insights and Engagement who will lead the development of strategies for identified constituents across SAA programs. Initially, the focus will be on two groups: Undergraduate Students and Recent Graduates and Graduate Students and Grad-only Alumni. We are looking for an entrepreneurial and collaborative leader who will seamlessly work across departments, within SAA and across the university, to create sustained engagement across all university programs. An ability to think strategically and build and sustain key relationships is critical to this role.
The Director of Community Insights and Engagement will report to the University's Vice-President for Alumni Affairs, who also serves as the President, Stanford Alumni Association. The Director of Community Insights and Engagement will also work in close partnership with SAA's Chief Marketing Officer and Vice-President for Alumni Relations.
The Stanford Alumni Association (SAA) seeks to engage all Stanford students and alumni in a lifelong relationship with the university and the global Stanford community. SAA offers a variety of on-campus, regional and digital programs that connect students and alumni with the university and each other and help them thrive as individuals. These programs are often in partnership with other campus departments.
Your primary responsibilities include:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and eight years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and relevant experience.

In support of SAA's values and mission and to engage and interact closer with our customers, the alumni of Stanford University, you are expected to spend approximately sixteen (16) hours (without additional pay) over the course of the year staffing events outside of your regular job duties. Typically these events occur during the evening or weekend. They include such SAA sponsored events as commencement, reunion homecoming and STARs.
