Job Summary/Basic Function:
We are seeking a tenured or tenure-track faculty at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank in the Department of Mechanical and Energy Engineering at University of North Texas (UNT). Expertise in areas such as advanced manufacturing, robotics and automation, robot learning and human-machine interaction will be considered. We will also consider research experience and expertise in interdisciplinary areas such as big data analytics, machine learning applications in mechanical and energy systems that have good potential for research funding and IP development.

Minimum Qualifications:
An earned doctorate in mechanical engineering or a closely-related field.
For the Associate Professor rank, five years of academic work experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
For the Assistant Professor rank, a strong publication record and the potential to succeed in securing research funding and mentoring graduate students are preferred. For the Associate Professor rank, requirements include a sustained record of scholarship and external research funding with active grant(s), successful mentoring of junior faculty, and recognition in the field.
