Job Summary/Basic Function:
The successful candidate will teach predominantly developmental mathematics in the fall terms and provide a leadership role in developmental mathematics curriculum design and coordination. Teaching in spring terms will include other mathematics courses up to the level of calculus and possibly higher.

Minimum Qualifications:
(1) Masters degree in mathematics, mathematics education or closely related field, including 18 graduate semester credit hours in coursework taught under a MATH or STAT prefix.
(2) At least two semesters of prior experience in the instruction of developmental mathematics.
(3) Ability to teach collegiate mathematics at least at the level of calculus.
(4) Experience with online learning platforms such as: Blackboard, Canvas, MyLabsMath, Webassign, ALEKS, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
(1) Masters or Ph.D. in mathematics or mathematics education
(2) Ongoing scholarly interest in adult learning/developmental mathematics education and curriculum development.
(3) Candidates with at least four years of recent mathematics teaching experience at the developmental level at a college or university may be considered for the rank of senior lecturer.
(4) Candidates with at least eight years of collegiate teaching experience plus some experience with administrative or other supervisory oversight of developmental mathematics curriculum or instruction may be considered for the rank of principal lecturer.
