Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Interdisciplinary Program in Analytics and Computational Science in the College of Science at the University of North Texas invites applications for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor in Advanced Data Analytics with a focus in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
Candidates will teach in the Advanced Data Analytics MS program and are expected to be effective instructors with experience teaching courses in areas such as machine learning, deep learning, cognitive computing, AI, and data engineering. Candidates will teach online as well as face-to-face classes at UNT's New College. Preference will be given to applicants with experience applying big data analytics, machine learning, deep learning, and related analytic methods in business, government, or science settings.
Candidates are expected to teach a course load of 4-4 with the potential for a course load reduction for program advising, course development, or other service responsibilities. Actual course loads are assigned based on program needs. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

PhD in Data Analytics/Science or related quantitative/technical field (e.g. Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Mathematics). Experience teaching at the university level, including experience teaching courses in areas such as machine learning, deep learning, cognitive computing, AI, and data engineering.
Experience applying big data analytics, machine learning, deep learning, and related analytic methods in business, government, or science settings. Experience teaching on-line courses.
