Job Summary/Basic Function:
The position is for an applicant with expertise in qualitative research with possible extensions in program evaluation methodology. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the continued development and success of the department and growing the graduate programs in Research Methodology, Measurement, and Statistics (doctoral) and Research and Evaluation Methodology (master's) through research, teaching, and mentoring of students. Instructional roles include teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in research methodology, including qualitative research and (if applicable) program evaluation. Traditional, online, and teaching at satellite sites may be required. The successful candidate will be expected to develop or continue an ongoing scholarship in qualitative research methodology as well as research in their area of specialization. Expected scholarship includes regular publications in quality methodology outlets, professional presentations, and submission of external grant proposals. Service on dissertation committees is expected both in the department and across the college, as well as representation of the discipline and department via committee participation and other relevant service activities.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications include an earned doctorate in Educational Psychology, Research Methodology, or a closely related field with strong focus on qualitative research and evaluation methodology. ABD candidates will be considered as long as the doctorate is successfully defended prior to the start date.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with teaching and research experience, as well as external funding or the potential for external funding, commensurate with rank.
Preferred qualifications include a scholarship agenda related to methodological innovations to study equity and diversity issues in education.
