Advertised Job Summary: The Assistant Vice President partners with colleges, schools and departments to develop, monitor, and adjust student success plans and strategies for selected student populations, to include under-represented minorities, first-generation students, low socioeconomic students, transfers, veterans, and other priority sub-populations. In addition, the AVP partners with employers and other key stakeholders to ensure plans and practices are in alignment with workforce needs and expectations. Using national best practices and emerging research, the AVP identifies, develops and guides innovative initiatives to improve student retention, persistence, graduation and employability. The AVP provides strategic direction and oversight for the Student Success Center, Career Center, University 101 Programs, The National Resource Center for the First-Year Experience and Students in Transition, and the coordinated student success network.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): Master's degree with at least 10 years of effective leadership in student success with demonstrated results and increasing levels of responsibility.
