Degree and Area of Specialization: MD specializing in lung cancer thoracic surgery

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience: Graduate of certified residency program in thoracic surgery. Training and expertise in lung cancer surgery preferred. Candidates for associate professor (CHS) or full professor (CHS) rank must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment and promotion on the CHS track.

License or certificate: WI Medical License or eligible for
Board eligible or certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery.

Position Summary: We are recruiting an exceptional, board-eligible or certified thoracic surgeon to join our dynamic and growing Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery. In achievement and prestige, the University of Wisconsin–Madison has long been recognized as one of America's great universities. In 1848, Nelson Dewey, Wisconsin’s first governor, signed the act that formally created the university, and its first class, with 17 students, met in a Madison school building on February 5, 1849.
