Job Summary

The Operations Group of the Division of Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and Operations of the Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado Boulder, is seeking an outstanding faculty member to begin in August 2019. Applicants in all areas of Operations Management will be considered, though preference will be given to candidates with a broad interest in quantitative modeling and/or data-driven decision-making. The group is looking to hire at the assistant professor level, but exceptional candidates will be considered for a tenured position.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

The primary responsibility of the position is to conduct high-quality scholarly research and to teach at undergraduate, MBA, masters, and doctoral levels in the area of operations research and operations management. The Leeds School and the university have strong programs in sustainability, renewable energy, and entrepreneurship, garnering national and international attention. Applicants with research focus in these areas are also strongly encouraged to apply. Strong inter-disciplinary interest in related fields, including computer science and economics, is a plus.

What We Require

Minimum requirements for this position include:

  • Ph.D. degree in Operations Management, Operations Research, Management Science, or related fields. Doctoral students near completion of their degrees will also be considered.
  • Evidence of excellence in research and teaching.
  • Demonstrated research success in the broad domains of operations research and operations management.
  • Willingness to teach at undergraduate, MBA, masters, and doctoral levels with demonstrated teaching success.
