The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, in the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, is seeking highly motivated applicants with a desire to learn for a full-time professional research assistant (PRA) position in drug discovery and development for the laboratory of Dr. Dan LaBarbera. The focus of this research will utilize tissue culture models, high-throughput screening (HTS) drug discovery, and animal models for cancer drug discovery. Duties for this position will include but are not limited to: general cell culture and molecular biology techniques, assisting with high- projects in the HTS core facility, and a willingness to work with animals and assist with ongoing animal studies (training will be provided). In addition, this position will include ordering supplies, organizing inventory, and daily and weekly laboratory maintenance.
