The College of Business and Administration at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) is currently seeking applicants for an open rank (Assistant/Associate/Professor) tenure-track/tenured Professor position in Information Systems starting in August 2019.

The areas of teaching responsibility will be from among information security and assurance, security policy, risk management, security and information auditing, network security, and cybersecurity. The successful candidate will be devoted to teaching excellence at the graduate and undergraduate level, to pursuing community involvement, and to high-quality scholarly research. Cross-disciplinary research is respected and encouraged. This position will require on-going scholarship sufficient to achieve and maintain AACSB "Scholarly Academic" status.



The college is pursuing active instructional breadth and dissemination of research in cybersecurity policy and practice through course development, conference management, and journal creation. The successful candidate will be expected to pursue security inclusion throughout the curriculum, research in cybersecurity or security-related topics, and endeavors across disciplines as part of a university-wide cyber-security initiative. The opportunity exists to grow the importance of cybersecurity in the business curriculum, for the local business community, for undergraduate and graduate students, and within the research community. The security initiative is a funded, state-driven program opening opportunities to be involved from inception.

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:
  • An earned doctorate in Information Systems, Information Security, or closely related field from an accredited program.
