Job Description
The Engineering-Dean's Office Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Senior College Recruiter to join our team. The ideal candidate will:

* Be a team player who works collaboratively with a group.
* Be able to work independently.
* Be able to communicate effectively through written and verbal communication.
* Be able to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed for recruiting activities.

The Senior College Recruiter will do the following:

* Organize the undergraduate recruiting efforts and events for the College of Engineering for prospective freshman and transfer students.
* Recruit undergraduate students primarily in Texas. Possibly recruit in other states as well.
* Review transcripts to determine transfer of courses to UNT.
* Coordinate with advising office and faculty advisors to determine approved course transfers.
* Create and maintain recruiting data using Excel and UNT data systems.
* Work collaboratively with stakeholders in the College of Engineering, UNT Admissions and other offices on campus to effectively recruit students.
* Give dynamic presentations regarding College of Engineering programs, research, enrollment procedures and admissions requirements.
* Coordinate individual and group tours for middle, high school and community colleges students.
* Supervise, hire and train the Engineering Ambassadors for tours, special events, and other events by the office of the Dean.
* Assist to establish and implement undergraduate recruitment communication plan.
* Communicate daily with prospective students by email, phone, and in-person.
* Organize and oversee the development of any promotional material that will be used for undergraduate recruiting.
* Complete other duties as assigned or required by the College of Engineering.
* While this position works independently within established office policies and procedures, general supervision is received from the Assistant Director of Recruitment and Admissions in the College of Engineering.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree and three years of experience in recruiting, academic advising, academic counseling, student services, or related experience or can substitute education for experience. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:

* Strong presentation skills and problem solving skills.
* Highly developed interpersonal skills.
* Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
* Experience with Microsoft Office Products.
* Ability to obtain credit card for travel.
* Good driving record and access to a vehicle.
* Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
* Professional in appearance, motivated, self-directed and have the ability and willingness to communicate enthusiastically with diverse populations in a positive, courteous and professional manner.
* Ability to work evenings and weekends.
* Willingness to travel (may be extensive).

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Experience recruiting at the university or community college level.
* Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
* Experience with the PeopleSoft System or ability to easily learn.
