Under general supervision of the Chief Instructional Officer (CIO) and within the Liberal Arts and Sciences Division, the Mathematics/Physics Instructor is responsible for teaching a full range of mathematics and physical science classes. The individual in this position works closely with other faculty in the department in planning, developing, and maintaining community college-level mathematics and physics programs. Requires a Master’s in mathematics or applied mathematics OR Bachelor’s in mathematics or applied mathematics AND Master’s in statistics, physics, or mathematics education OR Master’s in physics, astronomy or astrophysics OR Bachelor’s in physics or astronomy AND Master’s in engineering, mathematics, meteorology or geophysics OR the equivalent to any one of the above.
