NYU's Stern School of Business has a challenging opportunity available for an Assistant Director, Instructional Media Production. A key member of the Learning Science Lab, the Assistant Director designs, edits and animates educational media (video and interactive) materials for teaching and learning. This includes instructional design, graphic design, video editing, motion graphics, animation, incorporation of sourced still images and video, audio editing and mixing, color correction, compositing, encoding, streaming, quality control and the related post-production tasks required to produce professional quality instructional media deliverables for use in teaching and learning. The Assistant Director will also create and maintain a well-organized digital asset library including all source media, versioned projects and output files.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree along with 2 years' relevant experience or equivalent combination in video editing and/or motion graphics animation. He/she will also have extensive experience with Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop. Candidates must be familiar with technical post-production standards and procedures, including video codecs, audio sample rates, and transcoding workflow and storage requirements. Creative problem solving abilities, the ability to multi-task, excellent communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work autonomously are all a must. Knowledge of the development of teaching and learning content is a plus. The ability to develop and/or support teaching innovation and skill in web and application development are preferred.
