The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Hematology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, research, and clinical care. Candidates must be board certified in pediatric hematology/oncology or be board eligible and within five years of fellowship.

The position is for an individual with demonstrated success in scientific research in the area of inflammatory causes of thrombotic disorders. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated interest in sepsis or other disorders in which neutrophils and neutrophil extracellular traps are key. A focus on clinical participation in the hematologic guidance of care of pediatric sepsis patients combined with ongoing research in this area is desirable.
