Minimum Education/Experience: Qualifications: Candidate must have a doctorate (PhD, DrPH, ScD, etc.) in Epidemiology, preferably from an Accredited School of Public Health. Demonstration of excellence in and commitment to teaching epidemiology is essential (including methods and quantitative data analysis to masters, doctoral, medical students, residents, and/or fellows). Demonstrated ability to assimilate information, reason logically, and communicate effectively with students and colleagues. Documented experience working on teams. Demonstration of a strong quantitative background in design and analysis of observational and intervention studies (clinical or community-based trials), a consistent record of peer-reviewed publications, and a research agenda (established or aspirational) are required.

Job Duties: Duties: The successful candidate will teach in the MPH program, mentor students, conduct investigator-initiated research, and provide university, professional, and community service, consistent with tenure-track faculty members at ECU. Essential Job Requirements: * Perform research or other creative activities that contribute to the academic field of public health and epidemiology, * Perform all tasks necessary to conduct and complete scheduled instructional activities and assessment, * Advise and mentor students regarding academic progress and professional development in public health, * Participate in university and community activities, especially as related to rendering academic and community service, * Plan, organize, and conduct meetings.
