Position Summary: This position will be part of the CLL team creating and assisting rich media program development for web-based and mobile learning, distance collaboration and assessment. This position will participate in design and standardization utilizing the learning platform Smart Sparrow for distance learning. A portion of this position will be within the project, "Combination SANE Program for Rural Areas of Eastern North Carolina", funded by US Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). This project aims to increase the number of certificated Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) in rural areas of Eastern NC. This instructional designer position works directly the Project Director and the HRSA Grant Project Coordinator to implement the objectives outlined in the grant. This position requires a high attention to detail and excellent commination skills. The second portion of this position will be within the CLL team building online educational programs working with the CLL Business Officer, CLL Nurse Planner/Program Coordinator, Director, and faculty/content experts. The instructional designer will manage the curricular process ensuring its alignment with defined program outcomes. Duties and Responsibilities Develop and Manage Curricular Processes * Collaborate with Project Director, Project Coordinator, Business Officer, CLL Nurse Planner/Program Coordinator and key stakeholders to promote and ensure project innovation and sustainability * Ensure that proposed ideas and changes are appropriately vetted with subject matter experts, project faculty, and key stakeholders to ensure successful implementation; and changes are seamlessly integrated * Support use of best practices in the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of the project that enhances instruction and learning for exceptional user experience * Collaborate in development of continuous quality improvement for project innovation * Identify, advise, and facilitate application of creative approaches and instructional methodologies for the design, development, and evaluation of learning content consistent with the project * Collaborate with Project Director, Project Coordinator, Business Officer, CLL Nurse Planner/Program Coordinator in the development of policies and procedures to ensure integrity of project process Exams and Assessments * Collaborate with the Project Director and Subject Matter Experts to create and facilitate formative and summative quizzes/exams * Oversee the preparation of progress reports * Report project innovation progress, evaluation, and activities * Conduct and coordinate environmental scans that identify needs, trends, and best practices in the adult education/learning field to support project goals Training and Communication * Collaborate with Project Director. Project Coordinator, Business Officer, CLL Nurse Planner/Program Coordinator to develop language and communications appropriate for adult participants in the project * Provide technical support for participants with questions * Develop and provide training material for other key stakeholders

Education Requirements:

Qualification and Experience: Master's degree in education, special education, instructional design, educational technology, educational media, or related discipline with coursework in curriculum development or learning theory; or a Bachelor's degree in the assigned discipline and two years of experience in teaching, educational testing, or instructional design and curriculum development; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
