Position Summary: The Division of Infectious Diseases at the UNC School of Medicine is recruiting for a faculty member. This will be a fixed term appointment and with rank dependent upon qualifications and experience. Duties include, but are not limited to: Performing both clinical and research based activities. Clinical responsibilities may include outpatient clinical activity at the UNC Infectious Disease Clinic and inpatient Infectious Diseases care. Research responsibilities include primarily translational research and clinical trials with involvement in multidisciplinary teams.

Education Requirements: An MD is required with completion of Internal Medicine residency and Infectious fellowship program.

Qualification and Experience: At least two years of research experience in translational and/or clinical trials research is strongly recommended. The successful candidate will have an exceptional record of research accomplishments as demonstrated by publications in leading peer-reviewed journals, a well-defined research vision and experience working on multidisciplinary teams.
