Department Overview
The UNT Career Center is the centralized career office responsible for the career development and employment of all UNT students and alumni. It has responsibility for all Student Employment, Internships, and Post-Graduate Employment of UNT students. The Career Coaching team is somewhat decentralized and some career coaches are located in the various colleges across the UNT campus.

Job Description
The Career Center Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Assistant Director, Career Services to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

* Managing all activity related to UNT Student Employment on behalf of the Career Center for the entire campus.
* Develop and manage on-campus internships program for administrative and academic units at UNT.
* Interface with and provide customer service and HR-type training for student employment supervisors across campus.
* Develop and facilitate orientation training for all student employees.
* Supervise Student Employment Coordinator Front Desk Coordinator and any graduate student(s) and student assistants.
* Develop ongoing relationships with campus supervisors, Human Resources, Financial Aid, Toulouse Graduate School, and all other parties involved in Hourly Student Employment.
* Ensures compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and UNT policies.
* Conduct regular audits of UNT departments on Student Employment Policy compliance. Works closely with Student Employment Coordinator to grow training offerings on campus for student employees and students who seek on-campus employment.
* Assist the Sr. Associate Director and Director in the area of data collection for UNT Student Employment and on-campus internships.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in related field and four years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* A Master's degree in Higher Education, Human Resources or other related degree.
* Previous experience working in a Student Employment office on a university/college campus.
* A good understanding or familiarity with Federal and State Employment Laws.
* PHR Certification is a plus.
* Previous experience with event management.
* Previous experience training staff.
