Department Overview
The UNT Career Center is the centralized career office responsible for the career development and employment of all UNT students and alumni. It has responsibility for all Student Employment, Internships, and Post-Graduate Employment of UNT students.

Job Description
The Career Center Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Senior Associate Director, Career Services to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

* Assist in the short-term and long-term goal setting and strategic programming and assessment for the Career Center in the following areas - Office Operations, Student Employment Services, Internships, Assessment, Marketing, and Technology.
* Directly supervise full-time staff and graduate students working in the above areas, and will lead the development of programs assessment and services that will provide all UNT students with educationally related work experience.
* Manage the every day operations of the Career Center including addressing constituent matters, personnel matters and budgetary matters.
* Lead the expansion and maintenance of the internship programs for the entire UNT campus.
* Supervise the Office Manager with minimal input from the Director
* Develop new student employment policies and procedures, as well as updating those in existence.
* Develop and oversee UNT student employee and supervisor training, when necessary, and advance the student employee evaluation process.
* Oversee the expansion and maintenance of marketing and technology offerings.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in related field and five years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:

* Extensive knowledge of career advising and development.
* Knowledge of university operations, policies, and procedures.
* Working knowledge of computer technology and applications in the career services field.
* Ability to deal tactfully with students, individually and in group situations.
* Excellent presentation and counseling skills.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to supervise, train, and plan work of subordinates.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Master's degree and over 6 years experience in a university Career Center.
* 3 or more years in a management leadership role, preferably in career services.
* Experience leading assessment efforts of programs and services.
* Comfortable making presentations to both small and large groups.
