JOB DESCRIPTION
The El Camino Community College District is seeking clinical psychologists for its Student Health Center.
Under the general direction of the Health Center nurse practitioner in charge, the clinical psychologist will provide services to individuals served by the Health Center.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in clinical psychology or counseling psychology.
Must possess a valid California State license as a psychologist issued by the California State Board of Psychology by start date of position.
Evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse, academic socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working in a diverse setting.
Experience working with student population.
College Student Health Services experience.
Knowledge of Mental Health Community Resources for uninsured students.
Bilingual.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Part-time teaching assignment(s) for the 2019 spring semester, beginning February 9, 2019. A teaching demonstration will be required during the interview process. Offer and acceptance of employment is subject to verification of all information provided on the employment application, credential(s), transcripts, fingerprint results, and tuberculosis examination as required. Candidates selected for employment will be required to provide verification of work authorization in the form of a passport, valid driver's license, or other equivalent identification, and social security card.
SALARY
Hours worked will be compensated at an hourly rate as defined in Appendix D-3, Special Rate of Pay $63.25, of the Agreement between El Camino Community College District and the El Camino College Federation of Teachers.
