The Division of Cardiothoracic Imaging in the Department of Radiology at the Leonard Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami, invites applications for a full-time faculty member at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the clinical educator track.

 

The successful applicant will join three dedicated cardiothoracic radiologists who are involved in imaging at multiple facilities including Jackson Memorial Hospital, a 1600-bed primary and tertiary care public hospital; UHealth Tower Hospital, a private 550-bed multi-specialty hospital; and the University of Miami Hospital and Clinics including Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Applebaum Diagnostic Imaging Center.  Combined, these facilities have strong services in pulmonology and critical care, cardiology, transplantation, oncology, and cardiac and thoracic surgery. The section trains a large number of radiology residents and medical students, and offers a cardiothoracic imaging fellowship.  There are multiple research opportunities in both pulmonary and cardiac fields.

 

The ideal candidate for this position will have completed a fellowship in Thoracic or Cardiothoracic Imaging.  Experience in cardiovascular CT and/or MR is preferred. Both junior faculty, as well as more senior candidates with an academic record commensurate with experience, will be considered. 

 

Responsibilities will include providing clinical imaging services, consultation, and conferences; teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows; and engagement in research. Participation in institutional committees and professional organizations is encouraged.  The Miller School of Medicine provides ample meeting and vacation time and an excellent fringe benefits package.
