The University of Miami is accepting applications for an Assistant- or Associate-level tenure-track faculty position within the Business Law Department at the Miami Business School (MBS) commencing August 15, 2019.
MBS’s Business Law Department seeks applicants with superior scholarship and teaching experience in Business Law and Ethics, and specifically in Sustainable Business and/or Governance. The position is open to those candidates who have a law degree with outstanding academic credentials, and who have a record of distinguished scholarship, including publication in the Journal of Business Ethics or other comparable publications. Demonstrated excellence in teaching or clear potential therefor is also required.
The successful candidate will join a thriving department that is home to 16 full-time regular faculty and instructors, with varied scholarly interest, who teach a wide range of courses in business law, business ethics, critical thinking and oral/written persuasion at the bachelors, masters, and executive levels. In addition to scholarly productivity and teaching, the successful candidate will also be responsible for advancing the Department’s mission as it relates to ethics and sustainable business. Preference, therefore, may be given to candidates with additional degrees, advanced study, or practice/ industry experience related to business, ethics, or sustainability as well as current or prior administrative appointments.

The University’s main campus in suburban Coral Gables, Florida, is home to two colleges and seven schools located on a lush 230-acre tract.
