The position of Professor / Associate Professor/ Assistant professor of Clinical Surgery requires an M.D. degree. This individual must also have completed a Transplant Fellowship. He or She must possess a Florida Medical License or Faculty Medical and a DEA certificate. This individual will be directly responsible to the Director of Liver/GI Transplant, DeWitt Daughtry Family Department of Surgery.
This individual will be responsible for the clinical care in all aspects of pediatric and adult liver and gastrointestinal transplant surgery including pre-transplant evaluation and post transplant care.
He or she will be involved in resident supervision at the University of Miami/ Jackson memorial Medical Center. In addition, this position may require teaching of students in both junior and senior elective programs as sponsored by this Division within the student’s surgical experience. Attendance and supervision at the outpatient clinic may be required.
This individual will also be responsible for pursuing research protocols to fund experiments under his supervision.
