The University of Miami Miller Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes Research Institute has a position for an Instructor. This individual will be involved in overseeing clinical trials designed to decrease autoimmunity and inflammation, and to replace beta cell function. Duties include but are not limited to coordinating all aspects of clinical trials conducted at DRI and affiliates including but not limited to patient evaluation and consent, management of research patients, data analysis of outcomes, and presentation of same, participation in the submission of grants in conjunction with other collaborators at DRI, working in the broad area of diabetes, authoring scientific papers regarding the data obtained, assisting in the development of clinical guidelines for new protocols, securing regulatory approval and participating in clinical management of endocrine patients, seen in Kosow Clinic or other sites on campus.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: FL Licenced Endocrinologist with experience in clinical trials, fluency in (oral/written) English, ability to serve as mentor to students and trainees, good interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to work independently within the team structure and attention to detail and accuracy.
