The School of Nursing and Health Studies at the University of Miami is seeking a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor. Candidates must hold a research PhD in Nursing and 2 years of progressive experience in addition to an outstanding research portfolio in advanced nursing education and a distinguished record of research, scholarly achievement, a consistent record of publications, and experience mentoring students. Candidates must also demonstrate achievement of professional recognition at a national and international level that will enhance the stature of the School. This candidate represents the institution in various educational interactions with other schools; local national and international organization; and educational agencies, commissions and councils. Responsibilities include teaching in the undergraduate and graduate programs, academic advising of students in the program, scholarship and research activities, community and academic service activities, and participating in School committees.

Duties include: evaluating students performances, developing teaching methods, delivering a range of teaching and assessment activities including lectures, coursework and practical's. Responsible for practical/clinical work where applicable, advising students, and updating staff on academic/curriculum issues. Carry out designated School functions, including, participation in committee work, assisting in the process of admissions, preparation of submission for teaching quality etc.
