Assistant Professor - Limited Term

Job description

Limited Term positions are similar to a postdoctoral position in that they are non-tenure track and involve both teaching and research. This position can be renewed annually but is anticipated to be two years in duration, with the possibility of renewal for a third year. Teaching duties are the equivalent of 3 four-hour semester long courses or 4 three-hour semester long courses per year, and will be aligned with the department’s small class initiative at the pre-calculus and calculus level, where class size is capped at 19 students. In addition, Limited Term Assistant Professors are expected to participate in the research life of the Department, including the pursuit of an original research program. Applicants are encouraged to identify a member of the current faculty with whom their research aligns.
