The University of Georgia (UGA) seeks an innovative, collaborative, and creative faculty member to serve as a Lecturer within the Division of Academic Enhancement (DAE). The DAE is a unit of the Office of Instruction (OVPI) whose central mission is to provide campus-wide leadership, collaboration, and support on matters related to instruction.

Serving as a Lecturer and as a certified Academic Coach, this 100% instructional position will teach a maximum of a four-four load (Fall and Spring semesters) within the UNIV curriculum. As needs dictate, the load may be decreased to allow for alternative instructional duties. The Lecturer will also collaborate closely with fellow faculty as well as the Director of the DAE in the innovation of the UNIV curricula and across relevant DAE services, programs, and initiatives including but not limited to: first through fourth-year courses and workshops, Peer-Learning Assistants training, Academic Coaching, etc. Purposeful integration within programming beyond the curricula will enhance the experiences and overall success of UGA’s students served by the DAE as well as create synergy among faculty and staff of the Division.

UGA is home of the Peabody Awards, presented annually for distinguished achievement and meritorious public service for television, podcast/radio, and digital media. It also is home of Georgia’s State Botanical Garden, state Museum of Art and State Museum of Natural History. Additionally, UGA has one of the largest and most comprehensive public service and outreach programs conducted by an American educational institution.
