Assistant Professor - Hospitality and Food Industry Management

Job description

Major responsibilities include: (1) developing a nationally recognized, industry-relevant research program, (2) publishing research in top hospitality and food industry journals, (3) teaching a wide range of undergraduate HFIMcourses, (4) mentoring undergraduate HFIM students, and (5) securing sufficient grants and contracts to support research. Faculty will also be expected to assist with recruitment, retention, and placement efforts; effectively interact with the staff of the Georgia Center (a 200 room/suite conference center located on campus) in providing a “hands-on” component to the curriculum; develop programmatic relationships with industry related organizations and businesses; and perform scholarly activities and service appropriate for appointment.
