The Department of Computer and Information Sciences (CIS) at Temple University invites applications for multiple Professor of Instruction positions.

We are interested in hiring faculty that will help us further extend the quality, depth, and breadth of our curriculum and contribute their leadership in advancing our educational mission. Applicants should have a commitment to promoting student engagement and implementing evidence-based instructional strategies that have been shown to be effective for teaching and mentoring diverse groups of students. Primary responsibilities for Professors of Instruction are to teach three courses per semester and to lead one additional lab section per academic year. Courses covered by Professors of Instruction range from introductory to upper division courses, including courses on software engineering, systems engineering, user experience engineering, web and mobile development, and cybersecurity. An ideal applicant will have a PhD degree in computer science (or a related discipline), substantial industry experience, or prior experience teaching computer science courses. Of particular interest are applicants with interest and relevant experience in teaching online courses.

This position is a non-tenure track 9-month academic appointment with a renewable 3 year contract. Temple University offers competitive salaries and excellent benefits.
