Position Description: Full-time, non-tenure track

Responsibilities: The position is a 9-month non-tenure track position starting August 2019. Responsibilities include teaching 5 courses per semester with at least one course on-campus.  Normal annual faculty evaluation is based on teaching (70%), research/professional development (10%), and service (20%).

Qualifications: The successful candidate will have earned a graduate degree in a management related discipline or a Master of Business Administration.  Experience in human resource management is highly preferred.  Candidates with experience teaching on-campus and online are also preferred.  PhD or DBA in Management or Human Resources is preferred.

The candidate should be comfortable teaching a variety of courses in the Department of Management. Depending upon the candidate’s credentials, the Instructor of Management may teach the following courses:

  • MGT 101: Introduction to Business
  • MGT 301: Management Principles
  • MGT 411: Applied Management Skills
  • MGT611:  Human Resource Management
  • ENTR 301: Introduction to Entrepreneurship
  • ENTR 350: Opportunity Development and Creativity
  • ENTR 401: Opportunity Evaluation

Instruction: Faculty members teach five courses per semester. The division of work duties may be modified through negotiation between the faculty member and the Department Chair, when such a change in assignment will mutually benefit the faculty member and Department.  Undergraduate advising responsibilities will be assigned.

Scholarship:  The successful candidate must exhibit on-going professional development such as maintenance of professional certifications and continuing practice or consulting.  If preferred, candidates may also participate in the scholarship of discovery, integration, application, and pedagogy in management or management education. 

Service: Service to the University, Robbins College of Business and Entrepreneurship, department, the region, and profession is expected of each faculty member.
