Director of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program

DeSales University (DSU) seeks a Director of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program, with a Ph.D. in marketing. This position is responsible for the strategic planning, management, and profitable growth of the DeSales University MBA Program. Working closely with a variety of key DSU stakeholders – the Provost, the Dean of Graduate Education, the Head of the Division of Business, and the full and part-time business faculty, the director is responsible for the strategic direction and operational success of the MBA Program. The director serves as the chief strategist and operational owner of the go-to-market business models, the key architect for MBA program offerings, and the day-to-day leader of the MBA operations and support team.

The director works closely with the above named internal stakeholders to develop and nurture a network of external partnerships with corporate, hospital, professional, and government leaders to support marketing, operational, and growth objectives. To this end, the MBA Director will also work closely with the Director of Recruiting for the Division of Business and the VP of Marketing.

In addition, the Director of the MBA Program will teach, conduct academic research, and engage in internal/external professional activities on a limited basis. The director will also conduct appropriate assessment of staff, program, adjunct faculty, and course outcomes/deliverables. This position is a 12-month position requiring work during evenings and weekends, as well as some national, and international travel.

The ideal candidate will possess a doctorate in marketing (Ph.D. preferred) plus five to seven years of relevant experience, three to five years of experience in leadership positions in higher education, business leadership experience outside academia, and experience in teaching and research in higher education. The position begins July 1, 2019. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications.
