For over 140 years, The New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (The NYSPCC) remains unwavering in its mission to provide child protection and abuse prevention services.

The NYSPCC seeks an entrepreneurial Chief Philanthropy & Communications Officer (CPCO) with a proven track record of expanding and diversifying philanthropic support. This position represents an unparalleled opportunity to be an active leader in a transformational organization.

In partnership with the Board of Directors and the Executive Director, the CPCO will lead, design, and implement a comprehensive development plan in accordance with organizational priorities. In addition to integrating development activities into the fabric of the existing strategic plan, the CPCO will articulate the vision and critical path to facilitate the maturation and evolution of a development program into a systematic fundraising enterprise.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of providing direction for and leading a fundraising operation that resulted in marked improvement and significant growth. The CPCO will have a proven ability to leverage major gifts, including identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.

With an affirming management style, the CPCO will foster communications, maintain best practices and engage participation at all levels to generate excitement and energy for fundraising initiatives and goals.
