Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Department of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor Pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2018, Spring 2019, and Summer 2019 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.

The anticipated need is for Adjunct Instructors to teach courses that may include but are not limited to:
Undergraduate courses in Audiology, Speech-Language Pathology, and/or American Sign Language.
Doctoral-level courses in Audiology.
Master's-level courses in Speech-Language Pathology.
Clinical Practicum courses in Audiology and/or Speech-Language Pathology.

Minimum Qualifications:
American Sign Language courses: 18 graduate hours in American Sign Language, Deaf Education, or similar degree program.

Audiology courses: Master of Science in Audiology.

Speech-Language Pathology courses: Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Clinical Teaching courses: License to practice in the State of Texas; And Certification of Clinical Competency (Audiology and/or Speech-Language Pathology) or Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.

Preferred Qualifications:
American Sign Language courses: Master's degree with education, training, and experience in Sign Language Interpretation, Deaf Education, or similar; or PhD.

Audiology courses: Doctor of Audiology (Au.D) or PhD. in Audiology.

Speech-Language Pathology courses: PhD. in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
