Position Summary: The Associate Director of Business & Finance for Student Affairs is responsible for Proforma creation, management and metrics for internal and external presentations to management and other departments in Student Affairs. Additionally, the position is responsible for Student Affairs quarterly and annual financial comparative analysis for Student Affairs and review of the capital planning analysis, deferred maintenance planning and analysis, budget analysis, monthly report compilation, monthly Gift accounts reconciliation. The position serves as the approval backup to the Director of Business & Finance for Student Affairs on all accounting, finance and H/R transactions. The normal work hours are from 8am-5pm Monday through Friday. On occasion, this position may be required to work overtime or on weekends. The office for the position is located in Odum Village and reports to the Director of Business and Finance for Student Affairs. Knowledge - Professional: * Responsible for the Proforma management for departments in Student Affairs including maintaining a ten-year long range plan, debt scheduling, capacity and service model analysis and metrics on debt capacity, debt ratio, and reserves; * Assist with annual Overview of Initiatives and annual budget process for all Student Affairs Departments; * Responsible for reviewing the annual Student Fee requests in collaboration with the Associate Vice Chancellor responsible for submitting the fee requests for Student Affairs. Communication: * Develop, maintain, and enhance professional relationships to increase credibility for building support and reaching consensus when explaining and interpreting University policies, procedures and goals; * Create and assist in the creation of Student Affairs procedures, workflows, and best practice reference tools and forms; * Convey sensitive information or decisions to students, staff and directors; * Work toward mutual resolutions that are in the best interests of Student Affairs' mission, vision, and values. Information Analysis and Decision Making: * Responsible for the monthly compilation, creation, and issuance for all Student Affairs financial and budget Gift reporting, Endowment and Investment reporting; * Responsible for quarterly comparative spending analysis on all state and admin fee funded areas; Responsible for semi-annual and annual roll-up reporting and trend analysis of all revenue and expenses by source type; * Responsible to create, maintain, and improve non-auxiliary Proformas including additional analysis of all data sources including but not limited to: capital planning, deferred maintenance, debt scheduling, debt projections, fund balance reporting, capacity projections, rate projections, and metric reporting. Customer Service and Other Duties as Assigned: * Knowledge of the link between the personnel and strategic plan for position expectations and growth in Student Affairs; * Understand the multicultural approach to all priorities and make financial recommendations to support this goal; * Propose a course of action to address more unprecedented issues with supervisor.

Qualification and Experience: Bachelor's degree in accounting, banking, finance, business administration, economics, or related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
