Job Description

The College of Arts and Sciences is seeking applications from qualified candidates for part-time, non-tenure-track adjunct faculty positions. The successful candidate will teach lower-division undergraduate survey courses in World Civilization, and possibly upper-level European History classes, based on academic qualifications. Applicants will be contacted according to departmental needs. Teaching assignments are all in face-to-face format and may include day or night classes.

Necessary qualifications:
• Master's Degree in History, or a related field, from a regionally accredited institution;
• Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in History or similar field

Preferred qualifications:
• College or university teaching experience preferred.
• Experience with teaching lower-division World Civilization classes preferred.
• Experience with teaching upper-division European history classes preferred.
• Experience with hands-on teaching techniques preferred.
• Experience in culturally diverse settings preferred.
• Completed Ph.D. in History preferred
