The Ray laboratory at the Child Health Research Center, University of Virginia, seeks highly qualified Ph.D. applicants for a research faculty position in kidney diseases. The position will be tenure eligible or ineligible at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Research (Research Support) depending on the qualifications of the candidates.

The Ray laboratory studies the pathogenesis of HIV-associated renal diseases. The incumbent will be expected to lead research projects, and assist Dr. Ray in managing the laboratory and supervising and training laboratory personnel. A PhD and a strong expertise in Drosophila microbiology and kidney diseases is required.
