Posting Summary:
The Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences at the University of Virginia is seeking applicants for an Open Rank faculty position. Responsibilities include providing clinical services to the Medical Center's inpatient geriatric psychiatry unit and general adult psychiatry unit. The incumbent will be expected to conduct research in the field of geriatric psychiatry and participate in supervision and training of psychiatry residents, geriatric fellows, and medical students. The incumbent may be required to provide consult liaison service care in geriatric facilities, call for nights and weekends, and backup call for geriatric psychiatry service. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinician with interests in academic psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, and teaching. Salary, rank, and tenure status are contingent upon candidate qualifications.

Candidates must have an MD and be board-certified in Psychiatry, and preferably Geriatric Psychiatry, by time of start date.
