Job Details
Duties: The Brarash lab is actively developing the next generation of algorithms for deciphering and applying post-transcriptional regulatory codes to understand disease causing mutations and human natural variations.
This position involves tool development for analyzing large volumes of high-throughput experimental data, and participating in subsequent data analysis and data integration. The successful candidate would be part of a team in a research environment with students, postdocs and senior developers, that provides the opportunity to work on state-of-the-art machine learning, computational biology, and web/cloud development.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computational Biology and at least 3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Must have good base in a majority of the following: Python, Perl, OOP (C++/Java), Web dev, SQL. A good handle on R is a plus. Active interest in bioinformatics, genomics or machine learning applications is required. Experience working with large genomic sequence data is preferred.
