Degree and Area of Specialization:

A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preferred focus in biological or health sciences, healthcare or related field.



Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

- Experience in a clinical healthcare setting or clinical research is preferred.
- Prefix assignment will be determined by years of relevant work experience. A minimum of seven years of experience is required for appointment at the senior level.

Position Summary:

The Precision Medicine Research Coordinator will join the Precision Medicine Team and report directly to the Precision Medicine Molecular Tumor Board (PMMTB) Manager at the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC) to support the PMMTB and various other Precision Medicine initiatives within the work areas. The primary goal of the Precision Medicine Team is to collect and analyze patient information for developing treatment recommendations based upon clinical characteristics and molecular data. This team also aids in the acquisition of biospecimens for clinical research on precision medicine trials. This position will interface with UW Hospital and Clinics (UWHC) oncology patients, UWHC, UW and UWCCC personnel and a UW referral network. The selected candidate must be self-directed, demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills and an ability to work with both patients and health care providers. The incumbent will work independently and as part of a group on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing projects based on deadlines and interdisciplinary collaboration.
