This position will be located in the Florida State University College of Law.

Responsibilities

Serves as the College of Law HR Transactional Rep. Processes and tracks all HR personnel actions such as terminations, supervisor changes, funding changes, position descriptions, recruiting, entering job openings, job offers and monitoring hiring process and all transactions to completion. Completes new hire paperwork and assist new employees. Prepares faculty/adjunct faculty contracts from HR, verifying for accuracy, and submitting to the College of Law Dean for signatures. Responsible for creating purchase requisitions for goods and services; for entering unencumbered payment requests (ePRF); for keying receipts for procurement of goods and services; tracking orders; ensuring that purchases follow University procurement rules and regulations. Maintains Power Receiver role for the main College of Law.

Manages time and leave process, provides time and leave training to supervisors. Responsible for HR actives and cost center reports to ensure all appointments are accurately reflected and paid. Responsible for all payroll documentation and data related to accurate paychecks. Maintains departmental personnel files. Initiates termination checklists and performs leave audits. Assists in ensuring a sound environment of internal controls and compliance by daily monitoring of purchasing activities. Utilizes OMNI queries and reports for tracking purchase requisitions and purchase orders to ensure compliance with University policies and procedures. Prepares FSU Foundation disbursement requests, assures proper signatures are obtained, and forwards to the FSU Foundation. Maintains all back up documentation on FSU Foundation disbursements and gifts.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience.

Experience communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

Experience performing accurately in a fast-paced, detail oriented environment.

Experience prioritizing, organizing and performing multiple work assignments simultaneously.

Experience compiling, reviewing, and reconciling data for accuracy, completeness and compliance.

Knowledge of related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.

Knowledge of applicable computer applications (such as Microsoft Word, Office, Excel) and basic computer functions.

Knowledge of principles, practices, and standards of human resource administration.

Anticipated Salary Range

Salary commensurate with experience.

Pay Plan

This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.

Schedule

If not otherwise specified, schedule is M-F, 8-5.

Criminal Background Check

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
