Responsibilities

This position is responsible for implementing and supporting application development projects initiated by CAPD and CRI.

Designs and maintains standards compliant websites and applications for a variety of clients both within and outside the University community.

Produces and revises drawings, images, and photos using graphic manipulation software such as Photoshop, GIMP, Illustrator, Sketch, CorelDraw or others for CAPD and CRI projects.

Responsible for designing and maintaining content management systems such as WordPress, Drupal or other. Responsible for supporting Moodle or other learning management systems used by the Center for Academic and Professional Development.

Provide as needed support for the department's business applications, online services, certificate programs, professional development courses, personal enrichment courses and Campus Reimagined initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other related degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalency and six years of experience.

(Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)

Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments and meet project deadlines.

Ability to utilize technical and problem solving skills.

Knowledge of standard programming languages, concepts, practices, and procedures within the technology field.

Experience with designing and maintaining content with a CMS such as WordPress or Drupal

Experience with website designing, building and maintenance

Experience with HTML5, CSS3, Windows OS X and Linux operating systems.

Experience with Web Development using PHP/Python/Ruby/Perl/JavaScript or other high-level web development programming languages.

Pay Plan

This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.

Soft Money Funded Position

This is a soft money funded position, with renewal based on available funds and the needs of the University.

Criminal Background Check

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
