Monitors, updates, and reconciles internal accounting database. Duties include, but are not limited to: establishing new accounts, position yearly budgets, and year-end closeout as well as daily purchase and travel expenditures, cash transfers, journal expenditure transfers, cash deposits.

Reconciles internal accounting system with departmental ledgers and prepares financial reports/statements for student organizations, Student Senate, and staff. Performs audits of open balances and SGA violations, prepares and posts adjustments and or payments, contacts organizations and vendors to resolve open balance issues. Provides supervisor details of audits on a daily basis.

Assist and provides ongoing training to students and staff on SGA policies and procedures relating to the use of A&S Funds. Serves as liaison with other University departments.

Verifies invoices are within the limitations on the purchase order, collects cash for any overage, and receives in OMNI and reports any violations to the management of SGA Accounting.

Responsible for maintaining all receipts on purchases and for verification of all changes made by the cardholder under the P-card program.

Assists the SGA accounting supervisor as needed, including but not limited to: assisting management in addressing issues that may arise from university office or auditor general, providing information during audits or as requested. Assists with the development of internal controls to ensure compliance of state, university, and Student Government regulations, polices, and procedures.


Bachelor's degree; or high school diploma or equivalency and fou years of experience related to the duties of this position.

Experience working with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook and other computer applications and functions
