Responsibilities

Provides mid-level functional support (maintenance, researching, analyzing, troubleshooting) for ERP financial modules primarily related to general accounting processes (General Ledger, Asset Management and Allocations), Global Setup (chartfield, ledger, calendar, etc.), and Banking/Cash Management. Provides back- up support for Hyperion, and other financial modules as necessary. Monitors ticketing system to ensure timely response to issues. Escalates issues to the OMNI development team, Oracle (PeopleSoft) and/or the Higher Education User Group (HEUG) as appropriate to ensure timely resolution. Follows established procedures for testing & migration of fixes. Provides clear and sufficient documentation of issues and subsequent resolutions; updates the appropriate ticketing system(s) in a timely manner.

Analyzes requests for configuration changes, modifications, enhancements and/or workarounds as necessary. Ensures requests are made & approved through appropriate channels. Analyzes costs/benefits of proposed changes to determine best course of action. Works with home teams to develop functional specifications. Follows established procedures for testing and migrating changes. Creates and updates test scripts and configuration documents to accommodate changes.

Contributes to improvements & enhancements of FSU PeopleSoft. Works proactively with FSU functional owners on opportunities for increased efficiencies & provides solutions for recurring issues. Reviews Oracles Customer Connection proactively for new functionality. Works with Oracle, the Higher Education User Groups, & Product Advisory Groups on future development efforts.

Supports reporting and information needs, using Oracle BI, PS queries, etc. Ensures requests are made appropriately. Assists in developing functional specifications.
Works with reporting team and developers as needed. Follows established procedures for testing & migration. Provides clear & sufficient report documentation.

Performs duties in compliance with ITS policies, guidelines, and processes pertaining to support requests, work orders, project management, change management, and incident management. Appropriately utilizes associated tools in accordance with ITS standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other appropriate degree and one year experience or an equivalent combination of post high school education and experience.

Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing.

Experience conveying technical information to technical and nontechnical users.

Experience developing and implementing policies, procedure, goals, and objectives.

Experience documenting existing and new processes.

Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

Experience evaluating process effectiveness and developing alternatives if needed.

Experience interfacing business applications with other systems.

Experience prioritizing and organizing work assignments.

Experience utilizing problem solving skills.

Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions?

Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations.

Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.

Knowledge of reporting techniques and exposure to reporting tools.

Knowledge of standard programming languages, concepts, practices, and procedures within the technology field.

Knowledge of PeopleSoft development and interfacing methodology.

Preferred

Experience with PeopleSoft financials modules.

Experience with financial activities.

Anticipated Salary Range

Negotiable based upon experience.

Pay Plan

This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8 AM-5PM
