Responsibilities

Responsible for updating application and status information between the application and student information systems. Corresponds (via phone, email, mail, and in-person) with applicants throughout the application process to provide a high level of service and maximize application completion rate.
Maintains familiarity with various, unique requirements and deadlines for each program.
Monitors applications for completion, completes file review, and sends forward through review process.
Monitors application review process to assure timely review of applications.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree, 1 to 3 years of related experience in customer service, recruitment, and data management. Detailed-oriented.
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with a diverse population (education, age, ethnic background, etc.).
Experience working in a high pressure, deadline-driven environment.
Experience with Datatel, Colleague, or WorkDay, Slate online application system and CRM , Microsoft suite.
Ability to assess and determine the situation quickly and come up with a workable solution.
Ability to learn and utilize new skills and computer programs, as necessary.


Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a graduate admissions office at a higher education institution.

Monitors current applications and conducts necessary follow-up to ensure completion of application requirements, review of applications, admission, and matriculation.

Uploads and enters applications into student information system on a daily basis. Conducts regular audits. Maintains familiarity with unique requirements and deadlines for a variety of program.

Creates admissions communications (acceptances, denials, deferrals, withdrawals) and communication plan. Assists applicants in overcoming obstacles leading to withdrawal and deferral requests.

Updates applicant records in application and student information systems; enter deposits, withdrawals, changes of semester, address changes, etc. and related correspondence Clear outdated files.

Coordinates the transition of matriculated applicant file information to the Registrar, deposit information to Student Accounts, and grant information to Financial Aid.
