Job Description
The College of Liberal Arts at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC) invites applications for a full-time, tenure track, faculty position in the Department of Theatre & Dance. The Theatre Program is seeking an accomplished instructor of Acting and Directing to join the faculty. Primary responsibilities include teaching foundational Acting courses, Directing, Stage Combat, and other areas related to the candidate's expertise. The ideal candidate will also serve as an academic adviser to BA Theatre majors/minors, offer additional courses as needed by the department, participate in departmental/campus service activities, and engage in scholarship/creative activity as defined by the Theatre Program.
The Department of Theatre & Dance at TAMU-CC is a 12-member faculty, 150+ major program offering a Bachelor of Arts degree with concentrations in Acting/Directing, Design/Tech, Teacher Certification, a Minor in Theatre, and a Minor in Dance.
Required Qualifications:
- A Terminal Degree in Theatre
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional acting and/or directing experience
- Experience directing theatre productions at the collegiate level
- Experience teaching acting and/or directing at the collegiate level
- SAFD Certification as Stage Combat Instructor
- Experience and/or training in Production Management
