Degree and Area of Specialization:

Master's degree required. Public health, social sciences, public policy, communications, strategic planning, or organizational development field preferred.



Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

- Minimum of 3 years of relevant post-Bachelor's work experience required
- Strong base of knowledge and/or experience in one or more of the following areas preferred: public health, population health and multiple determinants of health, policy development and implementation, community development, community engagement, strategic planning, collective impact, community health assessment, improvement planning, and/or community change processes.
-Strong communication skills.

Position Summary:

The Community Networks Strategist will be a key member of the County Health Rankings & Roadmaps (CHR&R) team, a collaboration of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute (UWPHI). This position reports to the Deputy Director for Community Transformation, in the CHR&R Group of the Population Health Institute.

This position will work with the CHR&R and RWJF Culture of Health Prize teams to develop, expand, implement, and assess relationship building, collaborations, and networking weaving with local and national organizations to advance local health outcomes and health equity. This work requires developing a thorough understanding of current best practices in community networks and network weaving; social network analysis; community engagement; partnership development; health equity; community health improvement; population health communication; policy development and advocacy; organizational development; training and professional development; and other topical areas that support the deployment of the County Health Rankings model, the Take Action Cycle, and the CHR&R principles.

Principal duties of this position will be to design, launch, manage, and assess community network building and impact to support national and local partnerships.
